I know alot of the parents of Glemsford School are on Facebook and other social networking sites as are the some teachers and staff.

It has also been noted that some pupils and ex-pupils are on these sites as registered users. Can we therefore make a request that ex pupils and current pupils do not look for members of staff.

I would also like to inform parents that if your child is under 13 years of age and registered on MySpace or Facebook then this is in breach of their terms of use. These sites are only for people over the age of 13 years.

Friend requests will be ignored by any current or ex-pupil on these sites. 

The reasons behind this are because of accusations that could be made by pupils and ex pupils towards staff. As much as we appreciate that they consider us friends, we are unable to accept the requests.
