Our topic continued this week with the children telling us about 'when I was a baby'. Lots of them knew all about the things that babies do and were able to talk about the things that they can do now that they have grown up. We even attempted a little bit of 'writing' to make a class book about babies.

In PE this week we changed our shoes and socks so that we could go outside in our plimsolls/trainers. We will continue with our outdoor PE as long as the weather remains warm, once the weather changes we will be changing into our full PE kit and coming over to the hall to work on the large apparatus. If you have any spare time at bedtime or in the morning we would appreciate it if you could encourage your child to take off and put on as much of their own clothing as possible as it is a great help to us and also speeds up the process for those of the class who change quickly and then have to wait for PE.

Our final group cooked buns on Wednesday. Next week we will be moving on to cooking some savoury treats - something for you to look forward to. Those who were not cooking played the 'dotty dinosaur' game, helping with social skills such as winning and losing and also with colour recognition.

Thursday is our speaking and listening day and this week we played a game called 'Mrs Golding had a box'. We all got to sing together and had to listen carefully to find out what was in the box. It was also school photos and those who did not have chikenpox (or chickenspots as the children like to call it) had their best smiles on show ready for the photographer.

Friday was wheeled toys, always a favourite with the children followed by snack and music. We are rapidly coming to the end of our first half term and is amazing to see how confident the children have become especially when we are moving from one part of the school to another.
