Year 3 are now ‘The Cheetahs’! A class vote was taken and this was the choice of the majority. We all decided it was a good choice as it suggests fast, silent workers just like cheetahs in the wild. Hopefully we will live up to our name!

The new school year has got off to a very entertaining start. Our topic is ‘Film’ and the children have been working on playscripts based on popular stories such as ‘The Twits’ and ‘Horrid Henry’. They have been rehearsing different character’s parts and working up to being filmed so they can watch their own ‘performances’ to see how their acting skills can be improved! There are already some budding stars shining through…….

We have also had great fun researching the history of film, looking at the technology behind the first moving pictures and making our own ‘flip books’. Subjects chosen range from a diver diving off a diving board, a cat chasing a mouse and a bird flying over houses etc. The children have all been very imaginative in their choices and produced some clever images to share with the rest of the class.
