Special mentions this week are for

Jack, Tommy, Brandon all for using their sounds when reading new words.

Every child has done a phonics test this week to set them up for Booster Phonics. A computer programme that helps develop a child’s phonic skills. Also when looking through reading assessments I can see a grand increase in ability across the class. So thank you for listening to your child read regularly, it is paying off!

Curious’s friend Paulo has been sending us letters this past week and it looks like he is heading for France at the minute. He’s talking about climbing the Eiffel tower!

We are also coming along with our Christmas songs. 2 weeks practice and I’m singing them everywhere! Just remember to help your child learn their lines, as we don’t have too long. If you need your lines again please ask, I have them saved on the computer.

This week in Literacy we have created a class encyclopaedia.

In numeracy we are looking at measuring things. Things like; time, money, weight, length and capacity.
