Hello everyone and welcome to the Year 2 Bat class blog.

We will have special mention children updating the blog on a weekly basis - with a little help.

We have been looking at houses and homes in our afternoon topic work. We are currently looking at different houses and how to build our own. Last week we started the brick work on our houses. This week we will be designing windows and doors and picking a roof that we like. Then the messy job of making them will begin.

In Numeracy we have been looking at money, which basically means we all get to play shop keeper and spend money.

In literacy we have started to look at poetry. We will be looking at some of Roald Dahl’s Revolting Rhymes and any other silly rhymes that might make us laugh.

Next week I hope to put some photos of the classroom up for those that do not get the chance to come in and see the children’s work.

Once again I would like to say a big thank you for the continued fantastic effort to complete homework! But please remember to send the spelling books back as we do them on Monday afternoon (practice in the back, spellings in the front).
